JSA is an investment advisor established in 2006 and headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin. JSA primarily manages accounts directly for individuals. However, we will also act as a sub-advisor for other investment professionals who maintain the primary relationships with their clients. In these situations, the lead advisor establishes and maintains the customer relationships and provides JSA with documentation necessary to prove suitability. JSA, in turn, shares management fees with the lead advisor.  All accounts will be managed with discretionary authority.

JSA manages all portfolios under a global, all-cap strategy, and performs fundamental analysis to find companies we can potentially hold long term, in an attempt to obtain above average returns. We offer four investment portfolios, which include the same 25-30 stocks, with different allocations between stocks and bonds. Fixed income takes the form of bond ladders used to reduce volatility and increase cash flow.

Sell discipline: We sell a stock when events occur that challenge our original reasons for buying, when it becomes substantially overpriced, as portfolio discipline dictates or as needed to reallocate the portfolio.
